National Endowment for the Humanities staff will lead a fast paced, resource rich, one-hour session built around the NHD 2017 theme of Taking a Stand in History. Come to this session on Tuesday, June 14 to learn about invaluable secondary resources that help students gain a broader historical context, key primary sources, and how to make a compelling and persuasive argument about the impact of their topic. We expect to offer several breakout mini sessions around such topics as the fight against slavery, Jim Crow, and segregation; grassroots movements of the progressive era; women in world history; and finding backyard heroes.
